Congratulations to Dan Aasa on winning 1st place in C-SPAN’s Student Cam competition. His documentary on Saving Sudan won him $3,000. It will air on C-SPAN at approximately 6:50 AM on April 20th.

Good Morning, my name is Ms. Ross, and in celebration of Women’s History Month, Winslow student government and Eagles Landing recognize the following women of distinction:
Cree Summer Francks– Canadian American actress, singer, voice artist, and cultural icon
- Born in 1969, Ms. Summer is known for her distinctive voice and dynamic performances.
- Rising to fame as Freddie Brooks on A Different World, she became a prolific voice actor in animated series like Inspector Gadget, Rugrats, Codename: Kids Next Door, Tiny Toons Looniversity & Teen Titans Go
- Over the course of her career, Ms. Summer has voiced over 101 animated characters, earning her an NAACP Image Award and two nominations at the Children’s and Family Emmy Awards
