Back by Popular Demand, the Leo Club presents our Poetry contest! It will be held on Tuesday, April 8th at 6 pm in the library. There will be a Gift Card prize for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners! If you write your own poetry and want to participate, see the flyers at the school for more information. All original poems must be submitted to Ms. Mullin by April 1st to participate!

A wedding, a mystery, and three unexpected guests! .A bride’s search for the truth will turn this island upside down as the past collides with the present. Secrets will be unraveled, and only the music of ABBA can guide the way. Don’t miss the spring musical, MAMMA MIA! Next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 pm in the high school auditorium.
Thursday night is for students, and the tickets are only $4. For all other performances, tickets are $6.
Tickets are purchased online from the school website or use the GO FAN posters QR code around the school. A service fee will be applied to all ticket purchases.

Good Morning, this is Ms. Ritter & [Isabella Uhl ], and in celebration of Women’s History Month, Winslow student government and Eagles Landing recognize the following woman of distinction:
Elizabeth Acevedo, Dominican-American poet and NY Times Best-Selling novelist
- Born in Feb of 1988, Acevedo is best known for her powerful storytelling and lyrical writing.
- Drawing from her Afro-Latina heritage, she explores themes of identity, family, and belonging.
- Acevedo’s debut novel, The Poet X in 2018, won several prestigious awards, including the Michael L. Printz Award, and was praised for its raw, emotional portrayal of a young girl’s journey through self-expression and personal discovery.
