Marching Band Posts Third Win of the Season

On Saturday, October 9th, 2021, the Winslow Township High School Marching Band competed at the Toms River East competition. The band earned a score of 88.41, defeating three other bands including Palmyra High School, Hoboken High School, and Brick Township High School. As well as their third consecutive first place win, the band also earned the awards of Best Visual, Best Percussion, Best Music, and Best Auxiliary. The Marching Band is led by student leaders including Drum Major- Fawaz Busari, Horn Captain- Gene Embert, Percussion Captain- Anthony Bombara, Colorguard Captain- Naomi Ibidapo, as well as Quartermaster- Jalen Mitchell. This new win advances the award winning marching band to a 3-0, undefeated record with their first championship competition only two weeks away. The band will compete in their final regular season competition next Saturday, October 16th, 2021.The competition will be at Cab Calloway School of the Arts competition in Wilmington, Delaware where the band will of course be hoping to bring home another win to Winslow Township High School.
