Jordan Ortiz

Jordan Ortiz, Staff Writer

Jordan Ortiz is a Senior at Winslow Township High School and one of “The Aquila’s”  journalists. This will be his first and only year joining “The Aquila”, and only having little journalism experiences from “Journalism 1 Class” (taught by the world-famous Mr. Pino). Jordan is a brilliant writer when it comes to looking outside the box, telling fantastical–innovative stories and articles. His ideal genres are sci-fi, horror, memoirs, and now dragging journalism in the picture: for its realistic and vivid windows on our world. By taking up the title of becoming one of “The Aquila’s” journalists to report local news surrounding Winslow Township High school and the community, Jordan also seeks to involve himself more into the world of literature and with his social environment. He has taken some initiative to join other clubs and extracurricular activities, including Environmental club, Leo club and next season’s marching band–optimistically gaining more on the inside stories and just having a good ol’ time becoming more of a lively person. Even if being a part of the newspaper industry or not, becoming included with the positive aspects of society and leaving a crucial print on this world that identifies you is just too hard to pass up on. Even though this is the old man’s last year at Winslow, wishing he could have been able to spend more time with the club and its fellow members; the feedback, the collaboration, and the open-mindedness would be one of the greatest motivational and eye-opening experiences Jordan will ever come across, thanks to “The Aquila”.
