The Winslow Township High School boys basketball team won their first playoff game in two years in impressive fashion, 71-42, against Pinelands on Wednesday night. The Eagles started the game off hot and never let go of the 20-4 lead they had in the middle of the first quarter. The Eagles looked sharp the whole game never letting Pinelands get any momentum, the game was essentially over after the first quarter. The standout of this game was Senior, Kevin Satchell, who had 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists, he also had a pretty nice slam dunk in the second quarter. Satchell is a very versatile player with great offensive and defensive prowess. Another performance that deserves recognition is from Junior Jayden Driver who had 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists with four 3 pointers made. Driver has been a sniper for the Eagles all year as he is the team’s leading scorer. The whole Eagles team was consistent with four players getting double digit points. This was a very good first round performance for the Eagles team that has their eyes set on a state championship.
