On April 16th, 2025 the Winslow Township High School Environmental Club went on a trip to Winslow Elementary School #4. The Environmental club was dedicated to making this trip fun! On April 7th and then on the 14th the club members going on the trip were broken up into groups of five and prepped the crafts for the kids, and then finally on the 16th we took a bus to the elementary school where each group went to their own classrooms. One group member from each group first read a story about something environmental related and then we moved onto the crafts! The crafts were Earth Day related as it was coming up the following week. The kids each got a paper plate which they colored into an earth, then they traced their hands on paper and cut them out and glued on the hands, and a pink heart! Afterwards they used a toilet paper roll, filled it with dirt and planted a seed of their choice into the dirt. After that the club wished the kids goodbye and headed off for lunch. We decided on Wawa and then went to New Brooklyn Park to hang out and eat our lunches. When everyone was done we got trash bags and gloves and cleaned up trash from around the park where we soon went back to the school. Overall the trip was exhilarating and filled with lots of fun!
